ডায়াফ্রাম (Diaphragm):
ইহা একটি শক্ত মাংসপেশি যাহা থোরাক্সকে এবডোমেন থেকে পৃথক করেছে, এর সংকোচন প্রসারণের জন্য আমরা শ্বাস নিয়ে থাকি। এর দুটি ডোম (Dome) আছে। ডান ও বাম ডোম । এর মধ্যে ৩টি বড় ছিদ্র (Opening) আছে।
- ১) এওটিক ওপেনিং (Aortic Opening) : মহা-ধমনী (Aorta) থোরাক্স থেকে এবডোমেনে প্রবেশ করে যে ছিদ্রের ভিতর দিয়ে এওটিক ওপেনিং বলে।
- ২) ইসোফেজিয়াল এপারচার (Oesophageal aperture): এ ছিদ্র দিয়ে থেকে খাদ্যনালী থোরাক্র থেকে এবডোমেনে প্রবেশ করে।
- ৩) ভেনাকেভাল এপারচার (Venacaval Apperture): এ ছিদ্র দিয়ে নিম্ন মহাশিরা থোরাক্সে প্রবেশ করে।
